3 lbs. round steak, 2 inches thick
salt
pepper
flour
1/2 cup salad oil
2 onions, sliced
2 cups cooked tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Season and flour the meat. Brown onions in hot oil and remove. Then brown steak on both sides. Place onions on top of steak; add tomatoes. Cover and cook slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or bake in moderate oven 350 degrees F. Remove steak to hot platter; serve with gravy made from drippings in skillet.
