Ingredients:  
1 lb beef liver sliced 1/2 - 3/4 in thick
1/2 c Gold Medal flour
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 c shortening
2 c thinly sliced onion
3 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet cook and stir sliced onions in butter until tender. Remove onions from pan and keep warm

Coat liver with flour. Melt 1/4 cup shortening in skillet. Fry liver over medium-high heat until brown. 2-3 minutes on each side. Season to taste.

Add onions last minute of cooking.
