Sugar Cookies Recipe

Aunt Dorothy Coniglio


1 cube margarine
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream Oleo, oil and sugar; add egg and vanilla and dry ingredients, combining well. Roll one teaspoon of dough in sugar. Flatten with a fork and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
Do not brown. Makes 3 dozen.
Mary Notes: "These are so easy to make when one is in a hurry to have something to serve with coffee or tea"

***Remove from baking sheets right away. (or else it sticks)
