2 lbs. beef
1 qt. water
1 onion
2 c. celery
2 c. carrots
2 tbsp. basil
1 28-ounce can of tomatoes or the equivalent with fresh tomatoes
2 c. cabbage
1 16-ounce can baked beans
1/2 c. elbow macaroni

Cube and brown the beef. In a large pan, combine all the ingredients and add the beef. Cook at medium heat until the macaroni is soft and the mixture is hot.
