2 (10 oz.) cans diced tomatoes and green chilies (such as Ro*Tel)
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes with juice
1/2 c. fresh cilantro leaves
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 whole jalapeņo, quartered and sliced thin, with seeds and membrane (or remove them for a milder salsa)
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp.salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/2 whole lime, juiced

Combine ALL ingredients in a food processor or a blender. Pulse until you get the consistency you like. Test it out on a tortilla chip and adjust seasonings as needed.

This is best if you let it sit overnight in the fridge...although we usually can't wait that long.
I like cumin so I use a little more. If you like the taste of cilantro you can use a little more. Make it how your family likes it.
