3 squares of unsweetened chocolate, cut into pieces
1/2 cup cold water
3/4 cup sugar
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chocolate and water together over medium/low hear for four minutes, stirring constantly. Do not worry if the chocolate turns oily. Add sugar and salt. Cook for four more minutes. Serve hot.

When chocolate sauce cools, you may want to add one to two teaspoons of coffee or liqueur if the sauce seems too thick. Store in a covered container.

My uncle is a chef and always makes a dinner at my father's house when he is in town. This summer, he treated us to an ice cream sundaes at the end of our meal, and he served this chocolate sauce as the topping.
