2 Eggs
1 tsp. anise seed
2/3 C sugar
1 C flour

Directions:

Heat oven to 375 degree. Grease and flour a loaf pan 9x5x3. Beat effs and sugar thoroughly. Add anise seed, gradually mixing in flour. Spread this batter into prepared pan. Bake about 20 min.or until toothpick stick in center of loaf comes out clean. (Pan will only be 1/4 full. Remove from pan and cut loaf into sixteen 1/2 "slices-(thick)Place slices on greased baking sheet. Bake 5 min. to brown bottoms, then turn and bake 5 min.to brown other sides. Cool and serve with ice cream, fruit or cheese.
