1 pound chopped dates
1 pound orange slices, cut up
1/3 pound candied pineapple, cut in small slices
1/2 pound candied cherries, cut in quarters
4 cups pecans or walnuts, chopped
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup melted butter or margarine
2 large eggs


Directions:
Directions:
Place fruit and chopped nuts in bowl.
Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon in another bowl and mix.
Pour dry ingredients over fruit and nuts and stir to coat.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add to fruit and nut mixture and mix by hand.
Drop batter by tablespoon on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325º for about 15 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK!!!!
