1 c. Bread Crumbs
1 Medium sized Onion, grated finely
1 Whole Egg
1 c. Milk
1 tsp. Allspice
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix by hand in large mixing bowl all ingredients adding the milk, one-fourth cup at a time until entire cup is used. More milk may be needed as the bread crumbs absorb after standing awhile.

Continue to mix by hand until very smooth, no lumps. Store in refrigerator for two or three hours, or overnight. Form into small balls and brown in small amount of hot fat. Place lid on pan and steam for approximately 5 min.

Gravy from the meatball drippings should be made with water not milk.
