3 pt White Sugar
1/4 lb Margarine
1/4 t Soda
1 pt Pet Milk (Evaporated Milk)
1 t Vanilla
1 lb Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Put 1 pint of sugar in a heavy aluminum pan over low fire and let melt.
DO NOT STIR & DO NOT SCORCH!!
In another pan add rest of sugar and Pet milk over low fire to simmer. Add to burnt sugar gradually stirring constantly. Cook until firm ball in cold water. Cut off fire and add soda. Stir vigorously as it foams. Add margarine. Cool for about 20 minutes. Add vanilla and beat until it loses its gloss. Pour into buttered 8x8 or 9x9 pan and cut into squares
