1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 Tbs. butter
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar or sharp cheddar cheese

Topping
2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted and divided
1//2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. minced fresh parsley or 1/4 tsp. dried parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 450°.
In large bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
Add the milk and cheese and stir to combine.
Drop batter by spoonsful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12 -15 minutes or until lightly browned.

While biscuits are in the oven, stir the 2 Tbs. melted butter, garlic powder and parsley.
Remove biscuits from oven and brush immediately with the topping.
Allow to cool at least 5 minutes.
