Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 foot long Baggett (hard crust) cut into cubes
1 1/2 c shredded Longhorn or Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/4 stick Butter
5 Eggs, beaten well (use mixer)
2 c Half and Half Cream
1 lb Sausage or Bacon.
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Dry Mustard (if desired. Adds a nice bit to the taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage or bacon (fry extra crisp and crumble) and drain. Melt butter in a 9x13 inch Pyrex dish. (The butter is to keep the egg from sticking to the dish. It adds a nice flavor to the dish but if you wish you can just spray the dish with your favorite cooking spray.) Add the bread cubes on top of the melted butter. Sprinkle the drained sausage or crumbled bacon over the bread crumbs. Sprinkle cheese over the sausage/bacon. Beat eggs and other ingredients together and pour over the bread, sausage/bacon and cheese. Chill for 8 hours or overnight. Sprinkle a little extra cheese over the top just before baking at 350 º for 40-50 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Mommy use to fix this every Christmas morning even after we were grown. We use to get up and go to Mom and Dads early just to eat breakfast on Christmas Day. When the kids came along, mine looked forward to Grandma's Breakfast Casserole almost as much as opening presents. We still have this tradition at my house. Breakfast Casserole on Christmas Morning. Keeps a little of Mom and Dad alive for us.
