1 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 T. red colored sugar
2 T. green colored sugar

Preheat oven to 400. Combine shortening and 1 1/2 c. sugar in bowl. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat until blended well. Combine flour, cream of tarter, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Mix gradually into creamed mixture at low speed--just until blended. Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll half in red sugar and half in green sugar. Place 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake one sheet at a time for 7-8 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet (ungreased).
