1 1/2 cups Bisquick
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon shortening
1 egg slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon poppy seed or sesame seed (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onion in shortening until golden.
Mix egg, milk, blend in Bisquick.
Add onion and half the cheese.
Spread in greased 8 or 9 inch glass pan.
Sprinkle with cheese, seeds and butter.
Cook 20-25 minutes at 400º.
