2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 eggs
1 stick butter/margarine
ICING:

1/2 cup peanut butter
6 Tbsp. milk
1 stick butter
1 box powered sugar

Preheat oven to 400º

Add dry ingredients together in mixing bowl and set aside
in a small sauce pan melt butter, water & peanut butter bring to a boil then pour over dry ingredients stir, add eggs & buttermilk mix well and pour into well greased and flour cake pan

Cook 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
using a toothpick poke holes throughout the cake so the icing can soak into it

While cake is baking prepare the icing, do this 5 minutes before cake is done

put 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1 stick butter & 6 Tbsps . milk in a small sauce pan bring to a boil remover from burner add 1 box of powder sugar mix well and pour over hot cake

The CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE has been a family favorite for many years, however I changed it up slightly substituting peanut butter where it called for cocoa and the PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE CAKE was created! We love the peanut butter cake just as much as the fudge cake!

GIFT IDEAS:

SPLIT THE BATTER INTO HALF COOK IN 1/2 SIZE CAKE PAN OR USE SMALL LOAF SIZE PAN FOR INDIVIDUAL GIVING!
