"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
My mom recalls eating a lot of apples and dishes made using apples as she was growing up. The family farm had an apple orchard which provided nutritious fruit in the winter months. My mom can make a delicious home made pie crust. I haven't perfected that technique -- yet. I make this pie with a purchased pie crust.
