Personal Notes:
Each summer my family would visit our Aunt Rena, Aunt Ella and Uncle Glendon in St. Louis. After a long and hot day of driving there in the car (no air conditioning back then!) it was always a treat to have a refreshing picnic supper in their back yard after we arrived, which often included this delicious salad.
