Cake ingredients
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sour milk
21/2 cups flour
1 cup hot water
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder

Icing ingredients
3 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Shake of salt
Enough milk to bind together

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa with brown sugar. Cream butter with sugar mixture. Add sour milk. Sift flour into mixture slowly. Mix soda with hot water and add to mixture. Add baking powder. Mix well. Pour into 9x9 greased cake pan at bake at 350º till toothpick comes out clean. Cool and frost with icing.

Beat all ingredients for icing together and top cooled cake
