2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 cups sugar
3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups Chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 375º

Combine flour, baking soda & salt, set aside
In a large mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy beat in eggs then gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bale 9-11 minutes
