1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup rolled oats
1 3/4 cups chopped apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped dates

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, cloves and nuts. In large bowl beat shortening and sugar till creamy. Beat in eggs. Stir in flour mixture, rolled oats, apples, raisins and dates. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
