Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1/3 cup pecans (unsalted)
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Put everything except the oil in the food processor. Pulse grind until everything is in small pieces (say 1/8 inch) and mixed thoroughly.

Turn on the food processor and slowly add the olive oil while it spins. It should make a thick paste.

If you want a more authentic Italian pesto, substitute pine nuts for the pecans. Almonds or walnuts work well too. I just use the pecans because that's usually what I have on hand.

Makes about 2 cups.
