Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and then cut plantains into 1/4 inch thick slices. Then add oil to a frying pan, it should be enough to cover half the plantain. When oil is hot place the sliced plantains in. Turn after a few minutes. Cook until golden brown.

If using a green plantain cut into 1/2 inch slices and remove from oil once they start to brown. Then using a spoon or side of knife smash down each piece. You don't want to make it to flat. Put back into the oil continue till golden
