1 c sifted flour
1/4 c sugar
4 t baking powder
3/4 t salt
1 c yellow corn meal
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/4 c melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except shortening. Put shortening in iron skillet and place in oven while preheating oven to 400º. When shortening is hot and melted mix with the other ingredients. Pour all ingredients into the iron skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top turns brown.
