1/4 c. fat-free cottage cheese
2 egg whites
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. + 2 tbss. dry plain bread crumbs
8 oz ground Turkey breast ( see note)
6 oz Turkey sausage, removed from sausage casings
2 tbs minced onion
2 tbs minced green pepper ( for a nice zing of hot add minced jalapeno)
1/2 c. snipped fresh parsley
1/4 c. minced celery leaves

Spray a cookie sheet with no-stick spray and set aside. In a large bowl, stir together the cottage cheese, egg whites, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 c. breadcrumbs. Stir in the Turkey breast, Turkey sausage, onions and green pepper.

Shape the poultry mixture into 32 meatballs. On a sheet of wax paper, combine the parsley, celery leaves, and remaining 2 tbsp. breadcrumbs. Roll the meatballs in the parsley mixture until coated evenly.

Preheat the broiler. Transfer the meatballs to the prepared cookie sheet. Broil 3" to 4" from the heat for 10-12 minutes or until browned on all sides and no longer pink in the center, turning occasionally. Serve with cocktail toothpicks.

HARVEST TIME recipe - Party time, to entertain friends and family...the Bird flew the coop and left this recipe for a delightful finger food; serve with brie cheese and cranberry sauce for a dipper or side; you can add Yam fries and salad with condiments like pickled beets kosher style pickles.

*Note: Select the leanest ground Turkey, available, check the label. Look for products made with only turkey breast meat. Many ground turkey products contain the dark meat and the fatty skin.
