2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. margarine, softened
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3 T. boiling water
FILLING
2 egg whites
4 T. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
4 T. milk
4 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Crisco©

Directions:
Cream together sugar, margarine, and eggs. Add salt, flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, and baking powder. Add soda, which has been mixed with the water. Beat. Drop onto greased baking pans. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
FILLING
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Spread between 2 cookies. Makes about 2 dozen whoopies.
