2 Cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 Teaspoons baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Cup shortening
3/4 Cup warm milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450º

Mix dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening (using a fork is helpful) until well mixed.
Add milk all at once and mix (don't overmix)
Knead and roll out dough.
Cut into desire size and bake for bout 12 minutes or until brown.

Hot homemade biscuits were a welcomed treat in our home. Served for breakfast or in the evenings, they were usually accompanied by fig preserves or syrup and a glass of cold milk.
