1 1/4 lb stew meat or ground round
1 tbsp. oil
1 onion
1 bag cole slaw mix or chopped cabbage
2 cans beef broth
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 c water
1/4 c brown sugar
salt
pepper
1 c rice

Directions:

Brown meat in oil with onion
Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil
Add rice
Cover and let simmer
