1cup flour
1cup brown sugar
21/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup melted butter

Filling
1 1/2 cups chopped dates
1/2 water
1 tbsp brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients for filling in microwave dish and microwave till dates are soft and mushy. Set aside
Combine flour, sugar, oats, soda and salt. Pour in butter and mix well
Place half of the mixture into a 8x8 pan and pat down. Spread date mixture on top then crumble the rest of the flour mixture over dates. Bake at 350 till golden brown. Cool. Cut into squares
