2 c. sliced peaches
3/4 c. sugar {1/2}
1/2 c. milk
4 T butter
1 T baking powder
1 c. flour
1c sugar {3/4}
1 T cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 c. boiling water mixed with 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Place peaches in a 8x8x2 baking dish or pan, once greased or buttered. Combine 3/4 c sugar, milk, butter, baking powder and flour. Pour over the peaches. Mix 1 cup sugar with cornstarch and salt. Sift this mixture over batter. Pour 1 cup boiling water overall. Bake at 325º for 50 minutes. Serve with ice cream or plain.
