Not Hamburger Helper Recipe

1 lb ground beef
cup diced onion
2 cups milk
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
tsp black pepper
tsp oregano
tsp parsley
tsp garlic powder
tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack

Brown the ground beef and onion together.
Stir in the milk, pasta, sugar and seasonings.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and cook until the pasta is done, 7 - 9 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in the cheese and cover.
When the cheese is melted, stir again.
