4 med chicken breast halves without skin or 8 skinless thighs
2 Italian Sausage links, skinned
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 med white onions, chopped
16 oz tomatoes, crushed
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Dash of rosemary
˝ tsp Italian seasoning
˝ cup red wine
1 ˝ cups chicken stock

Preheat skillet over medium high heat, place chicken in skillet, cover with vent open and cook for 10 minutes, turn and brown for 5 minutes. Remove and set aside. Add sausage to skillet, sauté until cooked. Add garlic and onion and sauté until tender. Deglaze skillet with port, add chicken stock, tomatoes, mushrooms, and herbs. Return chicken to pan, reduce to simmer and cook for 20 minutes.

SERVING: Cut each breast in half, place on plate, cover with sauce and garnish with chopped fresh basil and grated Romano cheese. Serve over pasta or rice.
