1 lb. ground turkey
4 large whole wheat pita bread rounds
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic
2 8-oz. cans tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Place pita bread rounds on a baking sheet.
Broil about a minute per side or until toasted. Set aside.
In a medium skillet cook turkey, mushrooms, onion, and garlic over medium heat until turkey is light brown and vegetables are tender.
Stir in tomato sauce and oregano. Cook and stir for 1 minute more.
Divide the meat mixture evenly between the toasted pita rounds.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Return to the broiler: broil about 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
