6 Tbsp butter
1 med onion, minced
1/2 c. flour
4 c. chicken broth
2 c. cooked wild rice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. diced ham
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and saute onion. Blend in flour and gradually add broth. Cook, stirring constantly, bringing to a boil. Boil one minute. Stir in rice, ham, carrots, and 2 tbsp dry sherry (optional) . Heat to serving temperature. Serve hot.
