1 cup long grain white rice
2 cups water
2 tbsp coconut flakes
1 tsp chopped chives (fresh or dry)
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 - 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
pinch of ground cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Soak rice in water for 30 minutes to overnight. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to just boiling, then cover and reduce heat to simmer for 18 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 10-15 minutes.

I made this recipe up when I was in the mood for a sweet, sticky rice. Added the turmeric, because Jennifer always liked yellow rice.
