1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water

BATTER
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
1 cup persimmon pulp

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare 8x8 baking pan with bakin spray or grease and flour

Make syrup
Pour into baking pan

Prepare batter with remaining ingredients

Pour batter onto syrup

Bake 350 for 30 minutes

I'm not sure if this or recipe #1 is the best! I've always made the larger batch which is a little different
