Blonde Brownies Recipe

1/2 butter
1 1/2 c brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c chopped nuts
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate

Browned Butter icing:
2 TBSP butter
2 TBSP milk
2 c powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter. Stir in remaining ingredients except chocolate. Spread into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with chocolate pieces. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Brown butter. Stir in milk, powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. If necessary, thin with additional milk. Frost bars.
