"Plain fresh bread, its crust shatteringly crisp. Sweet cold butter. There is magic in the way they come together in your mouth to make a single perfect bite."--Ruth Reichl

Bottom layer:
1 1/2 cup flour
2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1st layer:
1 - 8 oz cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 of 16 oz. cool whip

2nd layer:
1 package each of vanilla and chocolate pudding (or use whatever kind of pudding flavor you like). I've used pistachio several times.
3 cups milk

Top layer:
other half of 16 oz. cool whip

1. Melt margarine, and mix bottom layer ingredients together. Put in 9 x 13 cake pan and bake 20 - 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

2. soften cream cheese and mix with powdered sugar and cool whip. Layer over crust and then mix puddings and milk and layer over cream cheese.

4. Frost with remaining cool whip. Cover and refrigerate till use. Can top with crushed candy bars as well. Brad's favorite!
