Ingredients:  
1 cup self rising cornmeal
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup diced onion
buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cornmeal, baking soda, egg, and onion. Stir in buttermilk till batter is right. Let sit 20-30 minutes. Do NOT stir. Scoop out by teaspoon and fry at 350. Dip spoon in ice water between scoops to keep puppies from sticking.
