1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk
1/4 c. whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
After pricking bottom & sides of pastry shell w/fork, bake @ 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Combine the eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg. Beat w/mixer until well blended, then mix in the milk & whipping cream. Should you wish to use more whipping cream, cut back a like amount on the milk.
Without removing pastry shell from oven, pour filling into hot pastry shell, and sprinkle with additional nutmeg. Reduce heat to 325 degrees & bake for 1 hour. Be careful when sliding oven rack back into baking position, as mixture tends to spill over the edge.

Personal Notes:
My dad can make just about any kind of pie and they're all delicious. It always makes going home to visit extra special. However, there's just something about his creamy custard pie that I love. Hope you enjoy it too!
