1 1/2 C sifted flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 C sugar
1/4 C butter
1 egg beaten
1/2 C milk
1 tsp vanilla

Topping
1/2 C brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 T melted butter
1/2 C chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Work in butter mix with hands like a pie crust. Combine beaten egg, milk and vanilla. Add to flour mixture and stir quickly. Spread half of the batter in a well greased 8X8 pan. Sprinkle half of the topping. Spread remaining batter and add remaining topping
