1/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
2 c. milk
2 T. butter
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1/3 t. vanilla
2 T. cocoa
Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, and salt.
Add cocoa to milk and bring to scalding point on candy thermometer.
Add dry ingredients stirring continuously until thick.
Remove from heat. Add butter and egg yolks.
Cook 2 minutes longer and add vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue and coconut.
Bake until lightly brown.

Meringue:
Beat egg whites until stiff with 2 T. sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla.
