"When I'm at a Chinese restaurant having a hard time with chopsticks, I always hope that there's a Chinese kid at an American restaurant somewhere who's struggling mightily with a fork."--Rick Budinich

Ingredients:
6 C. peeled, sliced, apples
1/2 C. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon

Topping:
2 C. Oatmeal
2 C. Brown Sugar
2 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. Soda
2/3 tsp. Baking Powder
1 1/3 C. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients and put in 9x13 glass baking dish. Combine all ingredients for topping and mix to a crumbly texture (I usually end up mixing it with my hands). Spread evenly over top of apple mixture. Pat lightly, (do not pack down), and bake at 350 for 25-30 min., or until topping is golden brown. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes, serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

(Note: I have doubled the topping ingredients. Doing so puts the goodie in the apple goodie!)
