Rhubarb Torte Recipe

1/2 c butter
2 c flour
2 TBSP sugar

6 c rhubarb, cut fine
1/2 tsp salt
6 yolks, save whites
2 c sugar
1 c cream
4 TBSP flour
6 egg whites
10-12 TBSP sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Mix together butter, flour and sugar like a pie crust and pat into a glass 9x13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Mix together rhubarb, salt, egg yolks, sugar, cream, and flour. Pour over crust and bake 45 minutes or until thick. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks. Add sugar and vanilla while beating. Spread over top and bake until meringue is golden.
