1/2 c shortening
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 unbeaten egg
2 TBSP milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 3/4 c flour
Hershey kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugars. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Shape by round teaspoons into balls. Roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and place a hershey kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that the cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven 2-5 min longer. Do not overbake.
