Yams
Butter
Brown Sugar
Salt

Directions:
Take as many yams as you want, peel and cut them into smaller pieces, and put them in a pan. Cut up some butter, and scatter the pieces between the yams. Next pour a bunch of brown sugar over the yams and butter. Finally, sprinkle some salt over the whole mixture.

Cover in tin foil and bake at 350º for a long time—maybe 2-3 hours? They will get soft and soak up the butter and sugar.

I love the buttery brown sugar sauce with my turkey. MMMM….. I can hardly wait till Thanksgiving!

***Janet begged me to add this, but as you can see--I don't really have an official recipe. In fact, a teacher with whom I worked gave me the same instructions I shared above. Just remember, the more butter the better, and cook the guts out of them! :)
