2 1/4 c flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2/3 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c shortening, butter flavored
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
12 oz chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Sift the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into a medium bowl. Using either a stand mixer with paddle attachment or a hand held mixer beat the brown sugar, shortening and vanilla on high speed until light and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Lower the speed to medium and add eggs one at a time, beating well until incorporated, about 1 minute. On low speed gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Mix in chocolate chips. Spoon onto baking sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are set.Cookies will not spread. Remove and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
