Choose sweet apples such as Gala , Fuji, Honey Crisp:
8 medium or 6 large
water cunnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, core, and slice apples. Place in a large, saucepan, with about a cup of water. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover pot and simmer about ten minutes. Crush the apples with a potato masher, and continue to simmer, covered, another 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Crush apples once again, depending on the chunkiness desired, and stir in cinnamon to taste.

Serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
