1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 lb powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla (or almond flavoring)
food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff. Blend sugar in gradually. Add flavoring and coloring. Beat until frosting forms stiff peaks.
