1 1/2 c. white cornmeal
3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Add:
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. sugar

**Place a cast iron skillet on the stove with enough oil to give bottom a nice thin coat. Heat and pour in the above mixture. Heat a few minutes then place in a 450 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
