1 pkg Duncan Hines Deluxe yellow cake mix
1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 30 ounce can cherry pie filling
1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling
1 14 ounce bag of coconut flakes
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 1/2 stick butter or margarine (cut into thin slices)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 glass pan. Dump pineapple into pan; spread evenly. Dump both cans cherry pie filling; spread evenly. Dump dry cake mix onto cherry layer; spread evenly. Lay butter slices over entire cake. Dump coconut flakes; spread evenly. Sprinkle pecans; spread evenly. Loosely place tin foil over top for 30 minutes, then remove. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until golden brown. Serve either warm or cold and add ice cream.

Aunt Sissy shared this recipe, and says "this is my specialty that people cannot get enough of once they taste it!" For those who are lactose intolerant, just use margarine and leave out the ice cream. ; )
